Yes,
they even raced the Argo, and other brands, 6-wheelers
here. Some of them were modified with full, independent
suspension, snowmobile engines and eight wheels. I
couldn't believe how fast they were and almost bought
one until a crash at a later years race. One of the
drive chains broke on one of the seriously modified
machines causing it to lose it's steering control
and almost removing the driver's leg. These
things steer like a tank by applying the brake to
one side or the other so when you lose a chain things
can get very messy.
