Ashtabula, Ohio 1982
Ashtabula, Ohio had one of the biggest races for ATVs in the whole Midwest at one time. It was one of my early racing events and was very intimidating because I had never seen so many ATV's in one place at a time. I raced in the 250CC stock class with about 30 other riders. It also was a good learning event because I was given some bad setup advice by more seasoned riders hoping I would fail. I ended up with a 3rd place trophy at the end of the event almost beating one of the guys who tried to lie to me about setting up my Honda for flat track racing. This was the last time he ever beat me.
